Disc Golf | Frisbee | Innova | Ultimate Frisbee | Golf Frisbee | Disk Golf
If you have found this site, then you are probably a disc golf enthusiast, like myself. My love for Frisbee roots back to my high school days, where ultimate frisbee was a part of the gym classes. It then got to the point where ultimate frisbee became an organized league within my school, where everyone would skip class every Thursday to go play at a local park. My friends and I dominated this high school league, and went on to be two-time champions at the Utah Valley University annual ultimate frisbee tournament (I have the t-shirts to prove it!).
Anyway, my wife and I were out in Daytona, Florida for a vacation not too long ago, and I talked her into playing a few rounds of disc golf with me. This was my first time playing. In turns out that we both loved it so much that we returned the next day and play the 18 basket disc golf course two more times. Keep in mind that we were not playing with the awesome Innova disc drivers, nor the Discraft disc putters. Rather we were playing with 175 gram ultimate frisbee discs. Of course, some of the local enthusiast who were all there with their disc golf bags, weren’t too hard on us for being rookies to the sport. They did encourage us to go purchase a disc golf bag, as well as a good driver, a mid-range disc, and a putter for starters. They recommended Innova and Discraft discs, explaining that they were the best discs on the market. They also recommended that we check out the pdga, or professional disc golf association.
Long story short, I did a google search on some local disc golf courses and found that I live, and work, really close to a few. Ever since then, I average playing 18 baskets once a week. I am setting my aims to take down Jeff Dross (I think that is his name), who is the current champion. Wish me luck! I also thought that I would build this little site as a way for those who love the sport can come to exchange ideas, give review on disc golf courses, as well as give their review on Innova and Discraft discs. I am also hoping to make it so that people can post pictures of themselves as well as courses from across the united states.
If you have any feedback of what you think a good disc golf site should have, please let me know and I will see what I can do to get it added.
Keep in my that this is a side project/hobby, so this site will be a work in progress.
Cheers!
These are just a few friends that will help out Disc Golf USA:

I love disc golf! Although, I think that it is harder than it looks. I have bookmarked this site and look forward to more content in the future.
