Where disc golf and ultimate frisbee enthusiasts play!
The Professional Disc Golf Association, or PDGA, was founded in 1976. It is a not-for-profit organization based in Georgia. It is run by members/players, and serves as the governing body for the sport of disc golf.
The PDGA sponsors several tournaments through the year, and does a lot of good promoting the great sport of Disc Golf. The growth of the PDGA membership has been exponential, especially as the PDGA has had an international influence with members from all over the world.
The PDGA is currently ran by a 5 person staff, and headed by an executive director.
There are several benefits of PDGA membership, including:
1. Membership card, Tour information, PDGA logo bag tag and sticker
2. New member disc and mini, and a rule book
3. Members of the PDGA are eligible to compete in tour events
4. Members track their tournament season and career results of personal stat pages at www.pdga.com
5. PDGA members receive their own player ratings
6. Participation in the members only Discussion Board
7. Merchandise discounts
8. Discounts are businesses, such as hotels, restaurants, and car rentals
